CTVNews.ca: COVID-19 Pandemic Coverage

The COVID-19 pandemic is perhaps the most devastating global event since World War II, impacting billions of lives across at least 185 countries. More than 235 million cases have been confirmed and more than 4.8 million dead have been counted since January, but there is no question the real tally is significantly higher. With borders still partially closed in many parts of the world, hundreds of millions of people around the world having experienced some level of lock-down, self-isolation, quarantine, or physical distancing, the human and economic cost is unfathomnable. And with loved ones separated, dying alone, trapped, non-COVID healthcare postponed or inaccessible, jobs losts, businesses shuttered - the mental and physical trauma and impact will likely last for many years to come.
